Welcome
My name is Myra and five years ago, I was diagnosed with aggressive DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma Insitu) of the left breast. This is a common form of breast cancer. I was 52 years old, single and working in a high level corporate position. I have two grown children and my daughter had recently been diagnosed with MS shortly after the birth of her first baby. I was under considerable stress. My life changed dramatically over the next year. I had been a confident person, happy in my work, enjoying my friends and family and recovering from the death of my mother, from cancer, the year before. I had developed a relationship with a wonderful man and we travelled interstate to see each other on a regular basis. In fact, it was during one of these visits that he voiced his concern over a lump in my breast. That was the beginning of a very long, difficult journey that has led me to this site. When I was ill, I found lots of medical information however there was little or nothing on: How to deal with this condition, how your life would change, what to expect, what clothing and skin treatments I would need, what exercise was best – Nothing.,/strong> So I hope the advice and the products that you find on this site help you to recover to the best of your ability and learn to Live with Cancer and recover fully. There is life after Breast Cancer and you can recover from the trauma of the experience as well as the physical trauma of the illness itself.
